Detectives in Loitoktok, Kajiado County, have launched a manhunt for a father who allegedly defiled and killed his 14-year-old daughter in Isinet town on Monday night. The body of the Grade 8 learner was discovered in her parents’ matrimonial bed on Tuesday morning, bearing neck injuries.
Kajiado South Sub-county Police Commander Kiprotich Chekwony reported that the suspect, believed to be a Tanzanian national, had returned home after months of absence. A disagreement ensued between him and his 37-year-old wife, prompting her to seek refuge in a neighboring home. The man allegedly locked out his 16-year-old elder daughter and preyed on his younger daughter.
Police are currently tracking the suspect using his phone’s last signal, which has since been switched off. Authorities suspect he might have crossed into neighboring Tanzania. The body of the deceased has been moved to the Loitokitok sub-county hospital mortuary.
