Governor Wavinya Ndeti Announces New Level 3 Health Facility in Machakos

In a bid to enhance healthcare services and ease congestion at the Machakos Level 5 Hospital, Governor Wavinya Ndeti has announced plans to set up a new Level 3 health facility. This initiative aims to cater to walk-in patients with minor ailments, allowing the Level 5 hospital to focus on more critical cases.

During an impromptu visit to the Level 5 facility, Governor Ndeti highlighted the increasing number of patients with minor illnesses flocking to the hospital, which is primarily a referral center. “To reduce congestion and improve healthcare, we have taken the bold step to open a Level 3 wing to deal with those cases,” she stated.

The new facility will be strategically located next to the Level 5 hospital, with its entrance facing the main Machakos stage to save time for patients. This move is expected to streamline service delivery and enhance efficiency, ensuring that patients with urgent needs receive timely care.

Governor Ndeti also emphasized the importance of fast-tracking the integration of systems between the County and National government to improve overall healthcare efficiency. “Our urban residents deserve quality healthcare without unnecessary delays. This new facility will guarantee swift and affordable treatment for minor ailments,” she added.
