Human Trafficking Arrest: 58 Ethiopians Rescued in Kitengela Bust

Kitengela, Kajiado: Two human trafficking suspects were arrested in Kitengela, Kajiado County on Tuesday February 4, after authorities discovered 58 Ethiopians being held in a house. The suspects, identified as Daniel Nduati Kingoo (33) and Peter Maina Kimemia, were found with the malnourished Ethiopians, who revealed they had arrived at the house three days prior, awaiting transfer to South Africa.

The youngest Ethiopian was 14 years old, while the oldest was 35. Following interrogation by a multi-agency team, the suspects were taken into custody, with 28 Ethiopians held at Kitengela Police Station and the remaining 30 escorted to Isinya Police Station. The suspects were also taken to Muthaiga Police Station by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

Two motorcycles recovered at the scene have been impounded as evidence. This incident highlights the ongoing issue of human trafficking and the importance of vigilance and cooperation among law enforcement agencies to combat such crimes.
