Detectives from the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau have arrested six suspects linked to a string of violent robberies targeting missionary camps across Kajiado County and its environments.
The gang’s latest attack unfolded on August 8, 2025, when armed assailants—disguised in police jungle fatigues—stormed the Korean Mission Camp (MCK) in Elerai, Mashuuru Sub-County. The brutal raid left a watchman dead and sent shockwaves through the local community. Authorities have since connected the group to similar violent incidents in Kimana, Mashuru, Wote, and other locations.
Following the deadly assault, investigators launched a high-stakes manhunt that led to the arrest of Muoki Mulee in Kitengela and Ambrose Mutuku near Machakos Junction on August 19. A search of Ambrose’s residence in Kitulu village uncovered police uniforms believed to have been used in the crimes, along with Sh49,000 in cash. Both men had recently been released from Machakos Prison in December 2024.

The operation expanded to Kantafu in Matungulu Sub-County, where four more suspects—Dominic Moenga Mwambi, Joseph Mamai, Gideon Nyaga Njeri, and Alex Mwaura Waweru—were apprehended. Detectives also impounded three vehicles suspected to have been used in the robberies: KDJ 066S, KCX 851Q, and KDP 825D.
All six suspects are currently in custody and undergoing processing ahead of their arraignment. Authorities say investigations are ongoing, with more arrests potentially on the horizon.
