Grandfather, Two Grandsons Die in Storm Disaster

Kisumu, Kenya, December 19 – Residents of Agoro Village in Kajulu, Kisumu County, are grieving after a devastating accident claimed the lives of a grandfather and his two young grandsons.

According to local reports, heavy rains accompanied by fierce winds uprooted a tree that collapsed onto their house late Tuesday night. The impact left the three trapped inside, and despite efforts by neighbors to rescue them, none survived.

Community members described the incident as heartbreaking, noting that the family was well-known in the area. The tragedy has cast a somber mood over the village, with many gathering to console the bereaved relatives and offer support.

Local authorities have urged residents to remain cautious as the region continues to experience intense rainfall and storms, which have weakened trees and structures, increasing the risk of similar accidents.

The bodies of the victims have since been moved to a nearby morgue as preparations for burial begin.
