Mother and Child Die in Suspected Suicide Fire at Kihika Estate, Nakuru North

Police in Nakuru North have launched investigations into a tragic fire incident at Kihika estate that claimed the lives of a mother and her young child on the evening of January 17.

Nakuru North Police Commander, Lilies Wachira, confirmed the incident, stating that the woman was inside the house with her child when the fire broke out. According to preliminary accounts, the deceased had earlier sent away her other children before locking herself in with the youngest, raising suspicions that the fire may have been deliberately set.

Investigators revealed that the woman had quarreled with her mother the previous day after returning home late, a dispute that may have contributed to the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
