Governor Joseph Ole Lenku Urges Kajiado Residents to Register for SHA

Kajiado County Governor Joseph Ole Lenku called on residents to register for the Social Health Authority (SHA) during a mass registration drive. Speaking in Kajiado town, Governor Lenku emphasized the importance of enrolling in the health insurance program to ensure access to quality healthcare services without financial strain. He highlighted that only 30% of Kajiado County residents had registered with SHA, urging leaders, healthcare professionals, and development partners to work together to increase enrollment.

Governor Lenku also addressed the challenges faced in the registration process, such as inaccurate personal details on identification documents and difficulties in enrolling minors. He stressed the need to strengthen emergency response systems and improve digital registration access in marginalized areas.

In addition to promoting SHA registration, Governor Lenku commissioned six fully equipped ambulances donated by the Korean International Cooperation Agency and Good Neighbors. These ambulances are expected to enhance emergency response capabilities and provide quality healthcare to residents across the county.
