A heartbreaking incident has shaken the residents of Bibirioni Ward, Limuru Sub-County, following the tragic death of a six-year-old boy, Isaack Mutungu. Isaack a pupil in Limuru Modern went missing on Monday 6pm, prompting concerned locals to launch a nighttime search. During their efforts, they found his shoes near the bank of Ruruti Dam in Gitogothi Village, a discovery that heightened concerns for the boy’s safety. Despite the community’s relentless search, Isaack was nowhere to be found.
Tragically, the search came to a sorrowful conclusion on Tuesday morning, April 29th, when Isaack’s body was recovered from the dam. Upon examination, injuries were noted on his head, adding to the anguish surrounding the incident. The area assistant chief, Mr. Njuguna, confirmed the devastating news and urged parents to remain vigilant and take extra precautions with their children to prevent such tragic occurrences.
Isaack’s body has been moved to the mortuary as investigations into the circumstances of his death continue.
