A tragic family dispute in Ndabibi, Naivasha, has ended with the arrest of a 28-year-old man accused of killing his younger brother with a jembe—a traditional farming tool—following a disagreement over a flash disk containing music. The fatal incident occurred a week prior to the arrest, sending shockwaves through the local community.

The altercation reportedly took place in late July 2025, when a heated argument between the two brothers escalated into violence. Witnesses say the suspect struck his 24-year-old sibling on the head with a jembe, killing him instantly. After the attack, the suspect fled the scene and went into hiding, prompting a police manhunt.
On August 4, 2025, police successfully apprehended the suspect in Maella village, several kilometers from the crime scene. He was reportedly seeking casual labor on nearby farms when officers tracked him down using mobile phone signals. Naivasha DCIO Isaac Kiama confirmed that statements from witnesses had been recorded and that the suspect would be charged with murder once investigations are complete.
