Ngong court has authorized police to detain a suspect for 14 days as investigations continue into a string of sexual assaults that have terrorized the Vet Farm area since 2022.
The suspect, believed to be a former inspectorate officer with the Nairobi County Government, was arrested earlier this week in Embulbul. According to Ngong Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Jacob Ndunda, the man is accused of targeting couples and religious pilgrims visiting the scenic Vet Farm location. His alleged modus operandi involved ambushing couples, handcuffing the male companion, and then leading the female victim into a nearby thicket where he reportedly raped them.
During the arrest, police recovered a facemask, handcuffs, and other items believed to have been used in the assaults. These items reportedly match descriptions provided by survivors, strengthening the case against the suspect.

OCS Jacob Ndunda has now issued a public appeal, urging all potential victims to visit Ngong Police Station for identification and to assist with the ongoing investigation. “We believe there may be more survivors. Your cooperation is crucial for justice,” he stated.
The suspect is expected to face multiple charges, including rape, assault, and unlawful possession of police paraphernalia. Authorities are also investigating whether he used his former government position to gain victims’ trust or evade detection.
