Ilbissil town in Kajiado Central was thrown into turmoil after a man was fatally stabbed following a confrontation with two women. According to police reports, the man trailed the women to their residence, where one of them—described as taking the role of “man” in the relationship—allegedly attacked him in defense of her partner.
The incident quickly escalated into chaos as residents poured into the streets in protest. Businesses were forced to shut down, and vehicles had to divert to alternative routes as the town came to a standstill. Witnesses described the atmosphere as tense, with crowds demanding justice and clarity over the circumstances of the killing.

Law enforcement officers from Ilbissil Police Station moved swiftly to contain the unrest. The Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Ibrahim Hassan confirmed that the suspects had been arrested and are currently assisting investigators with further inquiries. Authorities assured the public that the matter is being handled with urgency and that justice will be pursued.
Police have urged calm as investigations continue, emphasizing that the suspects will face due process in court once inquiries are complete.
