A senior officer attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has surrendered to police in Naivasha following the killing of his wife in Nairobi.
The officer, identified as Daniel Macharia, is currently being held in Naivasha and is expected to be transferred to Nairobi on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 for further questioning.
According to a police report, detectives from Kasarani Police Station were alerted by Zackary Nyagah, who reported that a body was lying inside Room B205 at By Faith Apartment along Lumumba Drive in Roysambu.

Upon arrival, the OCS Kasarani, accompanied by DCI and CSI officers, discovered the body of Florence Nyagah, 43, lying on her back in the sitting room. Investigators noted three stab wounds on the left side of her chest and a deep cut on her forehead.
A pool of blood was found near the corridor door, with stains visible on the door frame. Detectives also recovered a suspected murder weapon—a blood-stained knife without a handle—hidden under a kitchen table.
Macharia’s surrender comes as homicide detectives intensify investigations into the brutal killing, which has shocked residents of the area.
